Federal President Horst Köhler invited 1400 guests to a state celebration in honor of the anniversary of the founding of the Federal Republic, followed by a reception with finger food. Besides Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and the cabinet, Germany’s political and cultural elite gathered for the occasion.
